Barbara hummed as she buttered her toast and checked on her eggs and bacon. It was a rare day off for her and she decided to be as lazy as she could. It was almost noon and she was dressed only in sweat pants and a T-shirt, with fuzzy green slippers on her feet. Her hair was pulled back in a pony tail as she plated the bacon and eggs and added the toast She poured a glass of orange juice and headed to the living room.
Barbara carefully sat down on the couch without spilling anything. This was how the day was going to be. Just her sitting on the couch enjoying a late breakfast, watching some silly soap opera, and then maybe doing the crossword – in ink.
Barbara nibbled on her toast as she flipped through the channels trying to find the one that had the cute doctor on it, when the show was interrupted by a news cast. A bank robbery was in progress and looked like the robbers would be getting away. Barbara's eyes narrowed as she calculated exactly how far away they were. She knew she could stop them.
While daytime really wasn't meant for Bats, she couldn't just not stop them.
Barbara's eggs, soaps, and crossword puzzle were soon forgotten, along with Barbara's lazy day off.
